Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery

Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery is a vibrant ACE Major Partner Museum that is owned and operated as part of Plymouth City Council's Arts and Heritage Service.

Situated just a short walk from Plymouth's main shopping centre and right opposite the main University campus, it has a series of permanent galleries that showcase its natural history, world cultures, Ancient Egypt, archaeology, local and maritime history, fine and decorative art collections. It also has a shop and cafe and runs a series of events and high quality changing exhibitions throughout the year.

Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery has been involved in New Expressions from the start and is the lead partner for NE3.

For this it will be working on an exciting public art project with artist, Keith Harrison. The commission will shed new light on Plymouth's historic breakwater and encompass a live event in July as well as a special exhibition at KARST.
